Jerry Hunter is a Professor in the School of Welsh and Celtic Studies, Bangor University. He has also lectured at Harvard University and Cardiff University. His research fields are wide-ranging and he has published about Welsh-language literature of all periods, from the Middle Ages to contemporary literature. In addition to a number of articles, he has published five monographs, five novels, and one short novel for children. He won Literature Wales’ ‘Book of the Year’ award in 2004 and the National Eisteddfod’s Prose Medal in 2010. He has presented and jointly scripted three documentary series for S4C, including one which won the Gwyn Alf Williams BAFTA Cymru award.
