Lowri graduted from Bangor University in 2007 with a degree in Sociolocy and Social Policy through the medium of Welsh. In 2008, she received a scholarship from the Welsh Language Board to complete a doctorate on the out-migration of young people from the Welsh heartlands. During the past three years, Lowri has been working mainly in the social research sector, for Wavehill, Bangor University and the Welsh Language Commissioner. She is now a Welsh-medium lecturer in Criminology at Aberystwyth University, funded by the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol.
