Hywel Turner Evans is a PhD student in the Physics Department at Swansea University, working under the supervision of Dr Aled Isaac and Professor Mike Charlton. His research project studies positrons, which are the antiparticles of the electron. Originally from Aberystwyth, Hywel completed his MPhys degree at Swansea University and worked as a summer student on the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Geneva. Hywel's doctorate is funded by Research Scholarships from the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol, and the College of Science, Swansea University.
