Laura Beth graduated from Jesus College, Oxford University, in Modern and Medieval Languages, which included a year teaching English in Brittany. She completed a Master’s degree in Welsh and Celtic Studies at Cardiff University, focusing on language policy in education. She was awarded a scholarship from the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol to undertake her doctorate researching the linguistic choices of vocational learners in the Further Education sector. During her doctorate, she led undergraduate seminars on Welsh culture and policy, and taught Welsh to beginners. Laura Beth was awarded her doctorate in 2019 and now works as an education researcher in the public sector.
