Peredur Webb-Davies is a senior lecturer in Linguistics at Bangor University, specializing in Welsh linguistics and bilingualism. He completed his Bachelor’s degree (2002) and Master’s degree (2004) in Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic studies at the University of Cambridge, before completing a doctorate in the linguistics of bilingualism at Bangor University (2010). He has published his research on topics such as code-switching in the language of Welsh speakers and in sociolinguistic variation in contemporary Welsh grammar, and he has a particular interest in language change in Welsh. He was raised in Bodffordd on Anglesey and now lives in Menai Bridge with his wife and son.
