Pleidiau cenedlaetholgar lleiafrifol ac ymaddasu i ddatganoli: Astudiaeth gymharol o Blaid Cymru a’r Bloque Nacionalista Galego
Anwen Elias

Mewn nifer o fannau, mae datganoli wedi creu cyfleoedd newydd i bleidiau cenedlaetholgar lleiafrifol sicrhau lefelau newydd o gefnogaeth etholiadol, tra bod nifer hefyd wedi’u sefydlu eu hunain fel pleidiau llywodraethol. Fodd bynnag, ychydig iawn o sylw ysgolheigaidd sydd wedi ei roi i’r modd y bydd pleidiau cenedlaetholgar lleiafrifol yn ymaddasu i fod yn actorion canolog ar y lefel ranbarthol. Cyflwyna’r erthygl hon ddwy astudiaeth achos – Plaid Cymru a’r Bloque Nacionalista Galego yng Ngalisia – er mwyn astudio sut y bu iddynt ymaddasu i ennill cynrychiolaeth, perthnasedd, a statws plaid lywodraethol ar y lefel ranbarthol. Dadleuir fod profiadau’r pleidiau hyn ymhell o fod yn unigryw. Yn hytrach, maent yn adlewyrchu’r sialensau a wynebir gan unrhyw blaid wrth iddi ddatblygu o fod yn blaid protest, i fod yn blaid mewn grym.
