Tyrfedd yng ngwynt yr Haul

Tyrfedd yng ngwynt yr Haul
Owen Wyn Roberts

Defnyddir lloerennau Cluster er mwyn ymchwilio i wynt yr Haul, a chan y ceir pedair lloeren, gellir mesur strwythur 3-D gwynt yr Haul. Gan fod tyrfedd yn ffenomen 3-D, y mae Cluster yn ddelfrydol ar gyfer ymchwilio i dyrfedd. Dengys yr arsylwadau hyn y goruchafir tyrfedd yng ngwynt yr Haul ar feintiau radiws cylchdroi protonau gan donnau Alfvén Cinetig yn ogystal â fortecsau magnetig. Y mae’r ymchwil hon yn atgyfnerthu’r dybiaeth o fodolaeth tonnau Alfvén Cinetig yng ngwynt yr Haul ac yn awgrymu am y tro cyntaf y gall tonnau a fortecsau magnetig gydfodoli yng ngwynt yr Haul.
